A season of change brought me back to a familiar joy: cooking for others. From bánh tét shared at church to delicate cakes and cream puffs, Angel Kitchen grew through patient testing, honest friends and a love of sharing food. Come in gently—there’s a seat at the table.

It began with a parking scare, continued with coffee and bánh mì, featured a lively debate over fish sauce, and ended with strangers becoming friends around a table of Vietnamese broken rice. Here’s the story behind our Shine Cooking Class.

Woven by Love: The Second Thread continues a journey shaped by migration, faith, and the quiet work of rebuilding a life in a new land. Through family stories, small moments of grace, and the language of food and memory, this book reflects on the ways love slowly holds people together through seasons of change.

Angel Piano is a quiet corner where I share the melodies that have shaped my journey of faith, love, and grace.

The Second Edition of Woven by Love is here! This updated edition carries the same heartfelt story of my childhood in Vietnam and early years in Australia, now with a new “What Readers Say” page and a few clarifying refinements. At its heart, the book remains a gentle tapestry of my mother’s sacrifice, the thread of God’s love, and the recipes and reflections that continue to touch readers.

I’m humbled and grateful that Woven by Love has been reviewed in the Australian Presbyterian magazine. Reviewer Lyn Barnes writes: “Overall, the book weaves together a serene patchwork of a mother’s love and a child’s journey, leading to the God of Love.” This national recognition is such an encouragement, and I pray the story of my mother’s quiet sacrifice and God’s guiding love will continue to touch hearts.
