I’m honoured to share that I’ve been invited to speak at Merryland Library as part of their Author Talk series.

📅 Date: Wednesday, 13 August 2024

📍 Location: Merrylands Library

🎤 Event: Author Talk with Angel Tien Le — Sharing from Woven by Love

Woven by Love - Angel Tien Le
Woven by Love - Angel Tien Le

In this session, I’ll be sharing the heart behind Woven by Love — a story of memory, faith, and quiet love. It’s a tribute to the women who are often overlooked: those who endure hardship without applause, who serve faithfully behind the scenes, and who choose grace even when no one is watching.

I’ll also reflect on some reader-favourite chapters — like the one about Mila, a moment of childhood grief that still lingers with me today, and the chapter where food comes to represent healing and love in my family.

There’ll be time for questions, conversation, and connection. Whether you’ve read the book or are simply curious about the story behind it, I’d love to welcome you.

Why This Event Matters

This is more than a book talk.

It’s a space to honour quiet resilience.

To reflect on faith that grows in silence.

To gather with others who have known the strength of unseen love.

If you’re local, I’d be so grateful to see you there.

Warmly,

Angel

What Readers Say

Judy Bell

"It (Woven by Love) made me laugh

It made me cry

It made me remember things from my childhood that had dimmed in my memory

It made me remember things that made me stronger  and the things that brought me pain, that God helped me to overcome with forgiveness."

Paul Tai Huynh

Pastor, PhD in Christian Counseling

“Woven by Love is more than a memoir — it’s a testimony of faith, grace, and the quiet power of a mother’s love. Angel writes with gentleness and spiritual clarity. Her story will speak deeply to hearts that have endured much.”

Andrew Le

MBBS (UNSW),

author's beloved husband

"When I read the chapter ‘The Strongest Silence,’ my heart skipped a beat — no, actually quite a few beats. Angel captured the world through the eyes of a five-year-old girl facing cruelty from her friends — not with bitterness, but with a tender strength that is truly remarkable. The way little Tien hides her wounds to protect her mother reveals a love so quiet, yet so powerful. Writing from a child’s point of view is incredibly difficult, but Angel did it with rare beauty and restraint. It left me wondering — not only as her husband, but as a reader — how many hearts this book will touch."

Jackie S.

PhD in Optometry

“Angel writes so beautifully and I was hooked from the moment I read the first page. I tried not to read too fast, as every page was so moving and touched my heart. Her faith, strength and determination are an encouragement to us all.”
