Welcome.

I’m Angel Tien Le, a Vietnamese-Australian author, web developer, home cook and recipe developer based in Sydney.

I create stories, websites and food with care. Here, you’ll find my books, reflections, moments from my cooking classes, and the growing collection of recipes and creations behind Angel Kitchen.

I believe words can heal, food can carry memories, and love is often found in the smallest things.

Come in gently—there’s a seat at the table.

What's New

Woven by Love Series

Four books. Two generations. One thread of love.

Woven by Love is a four-book memoir series by Angel Tien Le tracing one Vietnamese family across war, poverty, motherhood, migration, marriage, faith and the long journey of learning when to hold on — and when to let go.

The story begins with Tien, a girl growing up in Vietnam under the quiet protection of a mother who works, sacrifices and loves without asking to be seen. It follows Tien into adulthood, faith, marriage and a new life in Australia, before turning backwards to tell the story that came before her own: the life of her mother, Le, whose childhood was shaped by war and whose strength was expressed not in grand gestures, but in simply continuing.

The final book brings mother and daughter together again, older now, separated by oceans and living lives that no longer fit beneath the same roof. What once had to be held tightly must gradually be released.

Across four books, the same small things return — rain, rice fields, sewing thread, kumquat trees, bowls of food, dogs waiting faithfully, phone calls across oceans and hands that cook when words are not enough. Food and memory become their own language of love.

At its heart, Woven by Love is not a story about extraordinary people escaping ordinary life.

It is about discovering the extraordinary love hidden within an ordinary life — and the grace that keeps the thread from breaking.

What Readers Say

Judy Bell

"It (Woven by Love) made me laugh

It made me cry

It made me remember things from my childhood that had dimmed in my memory

It made me remember things that made me stronger  and the things that brought me pain, that God helped me to overcome with forgiveness."

Paul Tai Huynh

Pastor, PhD in Christian Counseling

“Woven by Love is more than a memoir — it’s a testimony of faith, grace, and the quiet power of a mother’s love. Angel writes with gentleness and spiritual clarity. Her story will speak deeply to hearts that have endured much.”

Andrew Le

MBBS (UNSW),

author's beloved husband

"When I read the chapter ‘The Strongest Silence,’ my heart skipped a beat — no, actually quite a few beats. Angel captured the world through the eyes of a five-year-old girl facing cruelty from her friends — not with bitterness, but with a tender strength that is truly remarkable. The way little Tien hides her wounds to protect her mother reveals a love so quiet, yet so powerful. Writing from a child’s point of view is incredibly difficult, but Angel did it with rare beauty and restraint. It left me wondering — not only as her husband, but as a reader — how many hearts this book will touch."

Jackie S.

Associate Professor, PhD in Optometry

“Angel writes so beautifully and I was hooked from the moment I read the first page. I tried not to read too fast, as every page was so moving and touched my heart. Her faith, strength and determination are an encouragement to us all.”
